Do…judges always get involved with this sort of thing?”
Internally, he was cursing himself for even getting caught, for even taking the bait of the gentleman who started the fight. He had been a little drunk, admittedly, and the man he had been flirting with had decided to go on a rant about how disgusting NEXTs were. And Isra couldn’t control himself, goading the other until a fist connected with his cheek. The fight was short, and Isra had left several scratches on the man who swung first. The clicking of handcuffs alarmed him, and he resigned himself to play along until he could escape. He hadn’t expected to be sat in front of judge, let alone one so astute…and very handsome.
“I suppose I’ll be blatantly honest. I was defending myself. The guy hates people like me. I would hope a man in your position is more tolerant. Flexible, even.”
Flirting with a judge while in handcuffs couldn’t be the worst idea he’d ever had.

^{listening to the mans story caused him to inwardly groan, this wasn’t a story that he hadn’t heard time and time again before. the case in itself wasn’t considered uncommon, quite the opposite actually. every so often, a fight would break out merely because someone thought it appropriate to go running their mouths on matters they know very little to nothing about. usually unknowingly in front of what ever person or thing it was they’d be on about. and almost always, one or even both parties involved has had some form of alcohol intake beforehand. quite frankly, the judge had thought the whole situation to be tedious. annoying. an utter waste of time.}
